Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and to start off this week’s show, our hosts look back over the week’s news and fill us in on some upcoming events, including the taping of the show at Reilly’s Daughter on September 21stwhere this year’s Rose of Tralee winner, Maggie McEldowney, will be joining them! Our first guest this week is author and our old pal, Dennis Foley. Dennis tells us about his new book ‘We speak Chicagoese‘ and we even get to hear a little snippet from one of the stories featured in the book. Dennis also tells us about his movie ‘Not a stranger’, that was released last month that will feature in a film festival in New Jersey soon. Congratulations on your success, bud! Come down to the Beverley Arts Center on September 17th for a promotional night where our very own Houli will be reading one of the stories there. Our second guest is 2 gingers Irish Whiskey Ambassador, Michael Egan. 2 gingers is the leading sponsor of the upcoming 2nd Annual Irish American Movie Hooley. Michael gives us a little history about the whiskey and it’s brand. He also tells us about his experience living in Chicago. Our third, and final guests, are devoted listeners of The Skinny and Houli show, Bridget and Margaret Kenny. These ladies hail from Mayo and Kerry and they’re both great craic!
