Flood Bros Disposal presents The Skinny & Houli Show and we welcome back our favorite fiddler Katie Grennan and she tells us tales of touring with Gaelic Storm, her anticipatory excitement about joining Skinny and Houli once again in Ireland this October and plays some lovely tunes, including a special treat for Skinny’s birthday, “Ashokan Farewell”. Katie is putting together her second CD of music and we urge everyone to kick in to her campaign online to help her finish the album. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/katiegrennan/help-katie-grennan-complete-her-2nd-fiddle-album
Then we are proud to host Tim Maher, AKA “The Big Guy”, who drops by to talk about his terrific new book, “Three Yards And A Cloud of Dust”, the story of the legendary St. Rita Mustangs football squad that went from 0-9 to win the City Championship at Soldier Field in only two years. Lots of great stories from Tim and all Catholic Leaguers will love this book. Big lineup today for “Who Died?”, and most of them in their nineties, God rest their souls! Finally we chat with Adrian Ruane of the St. Jarlath’s football club and he gives us the latest on the big Victory for Vera fundraiser coming up October 1st at Gaelic Park.  Houli gets another plug in for his 3rd Annual Irish American Movie Hooley, opening Friday, Sept. 29th at the Siskel Film Center.  And then Katie plays us out with a final tune as the sun sets on the Chicago river on another bravura show!
