Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and our hosts are getting ready to head off on their annual trip to Ireland! They look back over the past week and we’d like to wish Skinny a hearty congratulations on taking part in the marathon and raising over $12,000 for Special Olympics. Our guest this week is Founder and Artistic Director of The Trinity Irish Dance Company and Dance school, Mark Howard. Mark begins by telling us about his Irish heritage, growing up in Chicago and how he got into Irish dancing, teaching and finally to opening his own dance school. The guys discuss the success of the company and its mission for the future. We also hear some great stories including when Mark first met Houli and his relationship with Johnny Carson. It’s a real treat to get to hear these stories! Featuring this week is our monthly segment ‘Today in 1916’ , which gives us a brief history lesson in the Easter Uprising and the impact it had on the country. As always, we have our weekly ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?’ segments and Skinny and Houli fill us in on all the important upcoming events in the Irish American community. Have a safe trip, guys and we’ll hear all about it when they get back!
