International Irish dancer/fiddler Katie Grennan stops by the Skinny & Houli Show directly from her Taiwan tour of “Magic of The Dance”. Katie is a native of Wexford, just outside Pittsburgh but now resides in Chicago, by way of the fighting Irish of Notre Dame where she was on the dance team for four years before graduating and joining up with the Trinity Irish Dancers here. She’s been dancing since the age of 8 and studied classical violin starting at age 4, and then learned Irish fiddle by ear. Katie tells the lads of all her travels and then performs a slow air “Dublin Airport” on the fiddle.

Then boxing coach Glenn Leonard takes the guest spot to promote “Ringside For Mercy Sake” on Oct. 19th at the Marriott. Glenn has been putting together bouts for Ringside for the last 22 years. Glenn gives us the lowdown on the big night then Skinny & Houli hit it with “Who Cares?” and “Who Died?” and then 2013 Chicago Rose of Tralee Bridget Conway says hello and Katie returns to close out the show with “a bunch of jigs”!
