Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and our hosts begin this week’s show by discussing their Thanksgiving plans and by looking back over old TV shows and movies. Our first guest this week is one of the most renowned Irish singers in all of Chicago, Catherine O’Connell. Catherine sang at Maureen O’Hara’s funeral upon request and she tells us stories about when she met the wonderful actress and their relationship. Catherine discusses her singing career, family and her Irish heritage with Skinny and Houli. These three get on like a house on fire and the craic between them is mighty! Our second guest is former writer at Sun-Times, Abdon Pallasch. He tells us about the upcoming article in The Irish American Magazine about Chicago’s Irish and how they hope to make it an annual thing. Our hosts have many hilarious stories to share with us and we have our usual ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?’ segments. We hear some tunes from Catherine’s CD, available at CDbaby and we end the show with her rendition of ‘Inisfree’. Tune in next week for our ‘Best of..’ show!
