Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and we’d like to wish PJ O’Dea a very Happy 91st Birthday! Skinny tells us how the Special Olympics event honoring Chris Kennedy went and the great crowd that showed up on the night. Our first guest this week is the very talented Catherine O’Connell, also known as The Celtic Nightingale. Catherine sings at all the major Irish gatherings around Chicago and she fills us in on her busy month ahead, including her upcoming performance at Siamsa na Gael on March 14th. Tickets available at cso.org. Our second guest is the newest Counsul General, Brian O’Brien. Brian is a County Tyrone native and this will be his first year celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago. He fills us in on his plans for the rest of the month and Skinny and himself chat excitedly about doing the Chicago and Dublin Marathons. Our third and final guest is President of the Irish Fellowship, Chris Kozicki. Chris is promoting their St. Patrick’s Day dinner on March 10th at the Hilton Towers. There will be Irish music, dancing and good craic at the dinner and proceeds go towards helping underprivileged students receive scholarships for school. What a great cause and tickets can be found at irishfellowshipclub.com. The craic between our hosts and guests this week is mighty and we’re feeling ready for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities after this show! We have Catherine singing “Inisfree” to play us out this week, so be sure to have a listen!
