Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and we’re back taping at Lizzie McNeill’s. Our hosts begin this week’s show by welcoming our new sponsor, Smith Village, and looking back over the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Our musical guests this week are Jimmy Sullivan and Gerry Field of the Sullivan Brothers and it’s their first time on the show! They’re promoting their new CD ‘Catch the heart off guard’ which is available at the website above and is in memory of Jimmy’s brother. These four go away back and they spend some time looking back over growing up in Chicago, when and how they all met and how the lads got into playing Irish music. These guys are full of the craic and share some funny stories with us too. They play an array of tunes including ‘Go Lassie Go’ and ‘Big Strong Man/My Brother Sylvest’. We have the lovely Julia Jamieson as our next guest. She and Skinny work at Special Olympics together. Julia briefly fills us in on our Chicago athlete, Tommy Shimoda, who won Gold in speed skating at the Winter Olympics. A great achievement for the city! Our hosts fill us in on the upcoming events and as always, we have our ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?’ segments. We play out the show with a track from the lads’ new CD, called ‘Willie McBride’.
