Skinny & Houli shout out to their old pal and History Detective Rick Barrett whose op ed piece in Monday’s Tribune reminded all that Constable James Quinn, the first Chicago policeman killed in the line of duty, still has not been given a place of honor by the Chicago Police Dept.  Then the lads are joined by Simon Gregory and Alison Metcalfe of Tourism Ireland who were in town for the announcement of United Airlines flights direct to Shannon. Alison and Simon give us the low down on The Gathering and their céad míle fáilte for the one million visitors they expect in Ireland from the USA. Of course we get into all the extras planned for the Skinny & Houli trip to Ireland in October when Mary Pat Flanagan of CIE Tours drops by to promote our trip. Highlight of the show is our brief salute to the late, great Irish playwright John B. Keane and his views on “the drink”.  Tune in, this is a good one.
