Podcast: June 24, 2017

Flood Bros. Disposal presents The Skinny & Houli Show and Skinny has taken it on the Arthur T. Duffy and slipped away on the lake tonight. Luckily enough The Great One himself, Geno Cooney, drops by and sits in for Skinny doing a magnificent job with his wisecracks and really crummy puns. Our guest, the Southside Troubador, Liam Durkin returns for his maybe eighth appearance on the show and we are lucky to have him in the house. This kid is awesome, only 19 years old but his voice sounds like an old friend offering whiskey, brilliant lad! Liam kicks it off with the Bob Dylan classic “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Allright”, then everybody at LIzzie’s sits up and pays attention! Tune into this podcast to hear Liam perform “I’ll Tell Me Ma”, a great rendition of “The Streets of New York” that brings a tear to Houli’s eye, and some excellent Neil Young, Chris Stapleton, and finishes up with “Only the Rivers Run Free”. Then Geno gives us the rundown on his upcoming Irish Fest July 7, 8 and 9 at the Irish American Heritage Center.  Watch for Liam Durkin to return to The Skinny & Houli Show when we have our special taping at Smith Village on Tuesday, July 25, 2017on the Green, don’t miss that one!
