Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and we kick this week’s show off with Skinny telling a story about an interesting experience he had while teaching on the Southside. Our first guest this week is Kathy O’Neill from the Irish American Heritage Center. Kathy tells us about the amazing music, food and drink, TV crew and games to be expected at Irish Fest this weekend. What a great line up! Our second guest is multilingual singer and piano player, Mark Piekarz. Mark sings some beautiful tunes for us during the show and both him and Kathy tell us about how they met. Houli tells a great story sent in by none other than PJ O’Dea entitled ‘9 Famous Irishmen’. We learn about the men and women of the Easter Uprising in our monthly segment ‘Today in 1916′. As always we have our ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?’ segments and we also hear about the upcoming events in the area from our hosts. Mark sings us out this week with his wonderful rendition of ‘The Leaving of Liverpool’.
