Podcast: August 6, 2011

On today’s show Skinny & Houli roll out their plan for the resurrection of the Southside Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade was discontinued in 2009 due to some extreme hooliganism by outside agitators, which led to the demise of the beloved parade. Now, after two years of ignominy, there’s been talk of reviving this great Southside tradition with a zero tolerance for any displays of drunkenness or even drinking on the street. At a meeting at the Beverly Art Center last week Skinny met with a crowd of Beverly residents as they aired their feelings about the resurrection. Another meeting has been planned for August 22nd, same place at 7PM.

We’re reaching out to the business community and forming committees to discern if this is possible and if we should start raising funds for the parade to continue in a safe and kid-friendly environment. Please consider The Skinny & Houli Show as your communications hub for all parade news and updates and feel free to contact us with any comments or concerns. Also this week, we continue to promote our upcoming visit to Cork & Kerry At The Park in Bridgeport for a live taping on August 19th at 5PM. and our usual antics with “Who Cares?” and “Who Died?” So tune in to The Skinny & Houli Show for the most fun you can possibly have in 55 minutes with your clothes on.
