Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and this week we have a very special guest calling in from Ireland. Aodh Ó Coileáin, also known as Hugh to his family, joins us on the phone and his aunt, Mary Corcoran, is with us live at Lizzie McNeill’s. Hugh has directed a film, ‘The Lark’s View/Fís Na Fuiseoige‘ that will be featured at the 2nd Annual Irish American Movie Hooley on October 2nd at the Gene Siskel Theater. Hugh tells us about how they shot the Irish film and its connection with Irish poets and the land. Mary tells us some great stories about when Hugh was on a J1 in Chicago back in the 80s and what they got up to during that time. The craic between these four is electric! We also get to meet Mary’s granddaughters, Deryn, Emma and Ann-Marie. This is a real family-oriented show, folks! Skinny and Houli discuss the Olympics and the controversy regarding Pat Hickey. Our final guest is Johnny ‘Vegas’ Sheahan who chats with the guys about the success of Local 150 and the pub he used to own 30 years ago. As always, our “Who Cares?” and “Who Died?” segments are featured and we have some great banter between our guests and hosts on this week’s show. Not to be missed!
