Podcast: April 30, 2016

Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show and we start of the show by looking back on Sunday‘s 1916 commemoration at The Irish American Heritage Center. Our first guest this week is the radio presenter of The Irish Hour, Jack Hagerty. Jack has been hosting the show since 1979. Jack became a paraplegic after some surgery complications and he tells us about how “Next Steps” has helped him in during his rehabilitation. “Next Steps” is a foundation founded by the O’Connor family with the help of late actor, Christopher Reeves. They have a fundraiser coming up on May 6th and tickets can be purchased at nextstepschicago.org. Jack has his old buddy with him, former Blackhawks player, Grant Mulvey. Grant played with the Blackhawks from 1974-’84 and he holds the tied record for most goals in one game by one player. The banter between the four guys is electric! As always, we have our ‘Who Cares?’ and ‘Who Died?” segments with some music by Katie Grennan. Tune in for some great craic this week!
