Flood Brothers Disposal presents The Skinny and Houli show where the guys start off by looking back over Easter with their families. Houli tells us stories about his grandkids and Skinny has a great story from Easter Sunday Mass. Skinny is running in the upcoming

Skinny is running in the upcoming Shamrock Shuffle along with 35.000 others so keep an eye out for that! We take a look back on the 1916 commemorations that took place in Dublin and the guys fill us in on the upcoming ones here in Chicago.

Our guests this week are two Southside country musicians from the band ‘Over the side‘. They are Mike Courtney and Joe Pacelli, who has a strange resemblance to Pope Pius XIII. Mike talks fondly about the 6511 club and his experience playing guitar and singing there. The Irish immigrants used to be able to get their local newspapers from home there. Skinny remembers the place from the 80s during the elections. Mike and Joe have a good music relationship with country artist, Wade Bowen. They’ve even played main stage at Joe’s Bar on Weed St. They sing a great cover of Springsteen’s ‘Atlantic City’ accompanied by guitars and harmonica. The banter between the four guys is electric as they chat about Fenwick High School and the late Johnny Latner. ‘Over the side’ have a lot of upcoming gigs so check them out online. They play another song, this time by Joe Dee Messina called ‘Heads Carolina, Tails California’. As always, a good laugh comes from the “Who Cares?” segment and the latest death notices can be heard in the “Who Died?” segment. The annual trip of a lifetime to Ireland is coming up in October and Katie Grennan will be on that trip with Skinny and Houli so get yourself on the list while there’s still space! Joe and Mike play us out with an original this week called ‘Gimme the ring’. A great musical show this week, folks. Give it a listen!
