Houli’s Podcast: August 20, 2016

McCann’s Irish Oatmeal presents The Houli’s Hooley and this week we get right to it with Billy getting his grievances with Comcast off his chest. We have a special guest on the show this week. Charles Carey Jr. whose father is a founder of the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame joins us to tell us about the upcoming awards night at McCormick Place on September 7th. Proceeds go towards funding scholarships for underprivileged children. The guys discuss the honorees at this year’s event and Billy talks a little about his time as an intern there and the late, great Howie Fagan’s influence on the event. In sports, we hear all about the McGregor and Diaz fight coming up and their predictions for the fight. It’s going to be a good one! The lads also chat about the Olympics with a focus on some of the scandals surrounding them, records being broken and how they are overshadowing the presidential campaign hype. Of course, the guys do question Paddy’s fashion choices and this week’s million dollar idea is a movie about the trading business. Although, we think this may have already been done, lads! The Scanner Man, Pokemon Go in Russia and Clay’s success in Track and Field during High School are only some of the other topics the guys discuss. A great sports oriented show this week for you, folks!
