Dan McGuinness returns to the show for his fourth Christmas season as he once again will be in residence for the holidays at Fox’s Restaurant in Oak Lawn at 95th and Cicero. With shout-outs to his dad Terry from Dublin, Dan rips it up with “Who’ll Stop The Rain” and a cut from his CD, “That Girl Can Kiss”. Stop by Fox’s this Christmas season to hear Dan in person. https://www.facebook.com/BlueDiamondRevival/
Then Dan McGrath, former Tribune sports editor and sportswriter nonpareil and President of Leo High School, joins us to salute the Leo Lions in their 90th year on the south side of Chicago. Dan tells some great stories of Leo men returning to the school to visit, including a great story of Jim Wilkins, class of ’44, who left school to go go war and never had time to pick up his diploma. Dan made sure he got it last year! A lot of great Irishmen came through Leo in the old days and they’re still turning our first class gents who all go to college. Gremlins take over the show at this point and we lost audio! Must have been the presence of groupies Judy Erwin, Kathy McDonnell, and Sheila Rock in the crowd! We finish the show up with some Van Morrison and another tune from Dan McGuinness. Tune in next week when our special Christmas guest is Peter Brady, Merry Christmas!
